What a forward deployed engineer does
The work sits between a customer’s problem and a system that has to run in their environment: scoping what is actually needed, integrating against systems you did not build, deploying under real constraints, and staying accountable for the result once it is in production. This programme assesses that work through a deployment capstone rather than through recall.

Proposed tracks
Two ways to take the programme, as proposed by the prototype. Neither is approved, neither is priced, and no track can be selected — this is a comparison of intent, not an offer.
Standard
Proposed- Self-paced, your own schedule
- Guided labs and a deployment capstone
- Rubric-led project feedback
- Two assessment attempts
No fee is set for this track.
Pro
Proposed- Everything in Standard
- Live mentor sessions
- Mentor-reviewed projects
- Cohort schedule
No fee is set for this track.
How it would be assessed
The platform rule is 20% knowledge checks, 40% lesson evidence and 40% capstone, passing at 70% overall and 70% on the capstone, with every critical check passed. A high quiz mark cannot offset a failed critical check.
A different rule was proposed for this programme
Professional status is proposed to stay current for 24 months and then renew. The record that you passed does not expire; the claim that you are currently certified does.
